Three Fantastic Ways To Boost Your Affiliate Commissions
A lot of people new to internet marketing perceive affiliate marketing as one of the least difficult ways to break into the online business and make some money. But once you sign up for that great affiliate program what do you do to ensure that your affiliate commissions are substantial and not just lunch money? There are several ways to boost your affiliate commissions and increase the size of your online paycheck. Below are three great tips which can enhance your commissions to a fantastic level if you follow them closely.
Fantastic Way #1.
Everything starts with your choice of the affiliate program. There are certain features you should look for in your choice of program. Choose a program that is suited to your target audience assuming that you have built a list of possible buyers with an email autoresponder. This is for the more seasoned marketer. Choosing a program that is similar to the needs of your list makes it much easier to pitch the benefits of the product you are representing to them. If you are new and don’t have a list, no worries. Everyone who wants to be a successful affiliate must try and choose a program with a recurrent billing agreement such as one that gives a service requiring a monthly payment. This way you can get paid multiple times for doing something once! It is obvious but must be stated. Go for the highest commissions if possible. But the most important thing in choosing the affiliate program to represent is that you choose a program that works. Trust me, if the program is a bad one, the commissions you work hard for will quickly disappear when customers start asking for refunds! Once you have settled on the program, you need to promote and advertise it like crazy. This is where a lot of new and inexperienced affiliates fall flat on their faces. Some join a great program and then sit back for the affiliate commissions to roll in! One of the best ways to promote your particular product is to write about it in a place like SQUIDOO where you can make a lens just for the product and provide prospective buyers with good information that will let them want to buy from you. You can also use HUBPAGES in a similar way. If you choose, you can also make a BLOG about your product using WORDPRESS OR BLOGGER or any blog platform. Just remember that if you use a blog you may also have to find ways and means to promote the blog. That is why I believe using Squidoo or Hubpages is better. Because they are that much easier to promote.
Fantastic Way #2.
If you don’t have an AUTORESPONDER, you are just a baby in internet marketing and you need to grow up. There, I said it! Now if you don’t know the difference between an autoresponder and “an auto not responding”, keep track of my articles because I will cover all you need to know about autoresponders- what some have called “the eighth wonder of the world” soon. The reason you need to have an autoresponder is to capture the names, email addresses and phone numbers of those who come to your website. So, instead of sending your valuable traffic (potential customers) directly to the product sales page, you send them to your custom-built website. There they put in those details you want to collect. That is how you build your list of customers that you can sell to in the future; possibly multiple times. That is why almost everyone agrees that “the money is in the list”. Sending potential customers to the product site is a complete waste of your marketing efforts because you may never hear from them again if they make no purchase. When they go through your website’s squeeze page and you capture their email addresses you benefit from them whether they buy this time or not. When you have built your list over time and built a relationship with them, they trust you and it will be easier to sell future affiliate products to them rather than to a complete stranger. If you build a big list and nurture your relationship with them by providing them a service such as a newsletter of regular tips they can use to build their own online business, you can make money from that list over many years!
Fantastic Way #3.
So now you have carefully chosen your affiliate product. Hopefully it is one you trust and
believe in and has a recurring monthly billing. You feel pretty good about yourself because you are making decent commissions and building your list at the same time. Is there anything else you can do to enhance your commissions. Yes, indeed. Ask for a bigger commission! You are probably thinking you don’t want to ruin it and be kicked out as an affiliate. Well, if the vendor is smart, and you are not asking for an unreasonable amount, he/she will give it to you. The reason? All vendors love successful affiliates because they are the ones who make the vendors money. Think about it. When an NBA or NFL player is very productive this year, they ask for and usually get, a raise next year. Why shouldn’t
your hard work be rewarded?
There are other things you can do to enhance or boost your affiliate commissions, I’m sure. But these three are some of the best. So use these three techniques and see your affiliate commissionsgo through the roof.
